Welcome with your application!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with a focus on after-school care with us, you will play a central role in planning, leading, and implementing the educational activities for our students when they are in after-school care. You create conditions for safety, development, and meaningful leisure through pedagogical learning that is based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences. You collaborate closely with other educators to ensure that students' learning, participation, and influence are strengthened - both in the after-school care and in the school as a whole. Collaboration with the school's other educators is a given to create a holistic view of the students' development. You may also work part of your time in the school, for example as a resource teacher or in subjects such as sports.

Your tasks include:

  • Plan and implement the educational activities in after-school care.
  • Collaborate with teachers and student health to support students' learning and development.
  • Work for good quality, participation, and safety in the operation.
  • Support students in transitions between after-school care and school.
  • In certain parts of the position, also work in classrooms or as a resource teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher with a focus on after-school care, preferably with additional training in sports or other subjects. You have good knowledge of the assignment in the overall curriculum and are well acquainted with the current assignment of after-school care. You feel confident in your professional role and are familiar with the governing documents that guide the operation.

It is meritorious if you have experience and competence in the area of disabilities and have previously worked in adapted primary school. Knowledge or training in low-arousal responses and alternative communication (AAC) is also seen as an asset.

As a person, you are independent, flexible, and have a professional demeanor towards students, guardians, colleagues, and others you meet in your professional role. You are attentive, creative, and quality-conscious, and work in a structured and systematic way in close collaboration with your manager and colleagues. Since collaboration between after-school care and school is a central part of the assignment, good collaboration skills and clear, confident communication are required.
